Use about 10 inches of 3/4 inch ribbon to make the "tie". I'm using two toned ribbon to make it easier for you to see how to do it. The brown is on the front, the pink the back. Hold the ribbon, right side up in your left hand with about two inches sticking out on the back. You will use this back 2 inches to tie the knot.

Now take that two inches and wrap it over the top of the ribbon, going from the right to the left.

take about 2 inches of ribbon from the top, and pull it over your left hand (pink is the back of the ribbon, brown the front)

pull the 2 inches across from right to left

then take that piece and poke it through the hole to the right side of the ribbon; you will be pulling from the right, across to the left, under the ribbon and back out onto the right side
