Butterflies

In spite of the rain, I am thinking about butterflies! It is too early in the season for there to be any butterflies about. But, I can make them on cards! The purple and yellow card was an inspiration from the color article that was in the last Stampin' Success magazine. I really would not have put purple and yellow together. But, it looks pretty cool and is really trendy. Who knew?! The pink butterfly card uses stencils on the face of the card, then heat embossing with white EP over the stencils. The butterflies on both cards were made using the Sizzix BigZ die with butterflies on it. For the background butterfly on the pink card, I used a page from an old book. The yellow butterflies were made using Gratuitous Graffiti background stamp before die cutting the cardstock. I distressed the edges with the same color of ink that I stamped the background with. Enjoy!

Click on the picture of the card and you'll get a real up close view.

I like!!! I love the way you put the page behind the pink butterfly. Both cards are great. Good use of "yellow & purple!"
